The UK military has strict requirements for tracking high-value assets such as ammunition/weapons etc. This is a fascinating article on the current use of the ubiquitous and rather expensive RFID technology, which is quite startling and more than a tad worrying. Perhaps it’s time to look at an alternative approach?
